All of a sudden the CEL came on after the car started to haveidling problems and felt sluggish. I pulled the following codes: P0134, P1171, P0171 and P1174 on my S80 -99 T6 with 75,000 miles on it.

They all seem to point towards a faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor but after a little bit more research (reading previous posts) it perhaps can have something to do with the ETS and ETM? I read somewhere that there's a 10 years or 200,000 miles ETS warranty and it has been extended to even replace the throttle body, is that true?

Anyone got some thoughtsabout this? I would appreciate any help!!!

As for the MAF, 8$ at the part store for some cleaner is well worth spending 100+ to replace it.....

 

The Dealer will also check the engine vent system before replacing any parts.

 

Did you ever figure out what was troubling your volvo? I have a 1999 T6 S80 with the same codes.

P1171 Bank 1
P1174 Bank 1
P0171 Bank 1

I was hoping I could deduce what is troubling my baby. She had a bad CVVT, I replaced it along with all 6 coils and new plugs. Then she ran great for 3 weeks.

Then, misfiring again and stuttering, smells awful out the exhaust and gas mileage plummeted. I cleaned the MAF, but didn't notice much of a difference.

Let me know if you have any ideas for me or if you solved your problem.
