#8
Look up these guys:
G-Pop Shop
turbo upgrades, turbo rebuild kits, and turbo parts
www.gpopshop.com

I've got a '99 s80 with one of the turbos blowing oil through my air intake, was going to order a rebuild kit through these guys. They quoted me 135 plus shipping. Haven't ordered it yet...

Keith, thank you for that post!
I have an '06 xc90 2.5T with a turbo that froze up. The dealers only option was to replace it for $2500. For a few hundred dollars, I took it to a local mechanic who pulled the turbo, cleaned it and put it back on. It worked, the turbo worked great, however, at a low idle, I would perodically get the white puffs of smoke. Obviously, the seals needed to be replaced on the turbo but I had an extremely difficult time finding a rebuild kit... until I found your post.
I call the G-Pop Shop and talked to Jim. He went 110% out of his way to match the Volvo code on the side of the turbo to a compatible rebuild kit. He found it and my code of 49377-06202 and TD04J14T matched to a Mitsubishi turbo. (makes sense, the turbo on my volvo says 'Made in Japan' on the side).
Here is the link to the page http://www.gpopshop.com/mitsubishikits.html and it is the "TD04 Complete Rebuild Kit" for $120 plus $12 shipping. Before ordering any rebuild kit, it is best to get the model number off the site of the turbo and have them look up a match.
Thanks again for your post.
Here is there contact info again.

Glad it worked for you. I ended up doing my turbo rebuild myself, I also went the extra step and sent the shaft with the compressor and turbine over to the Gpop shop to have them clean up and rebalance the shaft. Cost an extra $60, but I ended up with a rebuilt turbo that I did myself for about $250 including shipping back and forth to Gpop shop. My T6 is running great with no oil consumption.
