Default New Wheels are on... What do you think

Hey there, I got the Ronal 18 inch wheels that IPD was clearing out put on in March but I finally took some pictures. Tell me what you think. It may be hard to see but I painted the calipers red.

I have attached one picture and the rest is at https://volvoforums.com/forum/members/ceepyou-18830-albums-s80-update-132/

Looks really nice! Those S80's sure are good looking cars. I like also how you can just see enough of the red Caliper...... Nice touch!

235/40/18 Federal SS595

It does not make a rubbing sound, but when I pulled the wheels off to paint the calipers, I saw some fairly new looking rub marks. I know my winter tires rub and the stock 225/50/17's did as well so there is really no telling which is causing it.

thumbs up from me. You have so many less spokes than me lol, the stock Arrakis rims are such a pain to clean lol - so many spokes to clean - those should be alot easier

Yeah, I almost posted this to the "Photoshop of a Black S80" page that we were originally on with the wheels but the thread had moved on to trim dye and other things.

And on Gordon368's comments about the spokes, that is a large part of why I bought them. I had the T6 Upgraded (I think the same Arrakis you are speaking of) rims and those are a pain to clean. They are beautiful when clean, but still a pain. These are pretty easy. The nice thing about five spokes and and 18 in wheel is that I can get my hands to the back and clean the entire wheel with ease, without taking it off. I love that. Each week, they look almost new again. Now if these Oregon winters would stop causing ODOT to put small pebbles on the road, even in March (We've been getting a decent snow around that time for about 3-4 years now) then my wheels would never need touched up.

EDIT: By the way gordon368, Congrats on your 1,000th post within the community. Maybe, one day I will reach that as well.

Nice. Do those 245/40/18s rub? That seems like a really wide tire. I think that is the stock size for the 1996-1998 or so Mustang Cobras. My cousin has one and that is about an inch wider than stock.

I kept telling the guy that I thought it would rub he said no & I have turned the wheel as sharp as it goes & I dont have any rubbing guess maybe the offset of the rim which I don't know may be why it doesn't rub.
