S80 Trans Removal

S80 Trans Removal
So for the past couple of days I have been using the forum to look up info on how to do a flywheel swap on a S80 T6 2002. Its been going really smoothly until today.
So far I have the sub frame out, drive line removed (right side) and the axle removed (left side), engine unmounted and lowered roughly 8 or so inches, and all the trans bolts removed.
With where I am at I still cannot get the trans to slide off of the engine, so i decided to register and post so I could ask for some help. What should I be looking for that would hold the trans from being removed? Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

so i have located the problem bolt that was holding me back, now i have another question. how do i get it out while the engine and tranny are still in the car. i have tried and i cant seem to get any access to it from any direction. ive attached a pic with the bolt location for some reference.

Admittedly I have never done this, but it appears you would need a socket with a long extension. From the top you would probably need to move some things out of the way to get down to it. From the bottom your reaching up over the trans and then fishing your way around until you mate it to the bolt. It might require a swivel as well, to get the socket to line up with the extension off at an angle.
Things like this can be frustrating to the home mechanic. It often requires a lot of trying different ways until something works. And sometimes there just is no shortcut. You just have to start removing assemblies to get to what you need. I could not believe all the crap I had to remove to get the brake booster off the car. Insane. Then again, the heater core in this car is one of the easiest ever.

I have removed that bolt, but I don't remember how I did it. There are some braces between the engine and transmission and the rear mount that affect what you can do.
I think, based on memory, that I reached over the transmission for at least one of those bolts on that side. I am just not 100% sure that I didn't get that bottom one with long extensions.
I do remember that the official recipe for the torque converter bolts was to remove them through a tiny hole right next to that, and I wouldn't do it. I backed them out using the starter hole instead.
