I am posting this for a friend. He has a Volvo S80 Premier and it has TV as one of its features. He mentioned that it worked great before the digital tv conversion back in June. Now, if the car is still, he gets TV reception. If it is moving, he gets nothing. Can he tune the antenna? Is this a common issue with others that have the same features?

It may be that it will only work in the Park position...can the screen be seen by the driver..? If so, this would be the reason.

 

I would assume that he'll get limited to no reception because the car won't have a digital tuner to decode the now digital signal. The reception he will get is maybe a few stations that might still be broadcasting in analog for whatever reason.

 

TV worked while driving prior to the digital tv conversion. Plus, the tuner must be a digital tuner because it is getting digital station post conversion, just when the car is still. I have to think it is something to tune either on the receiver/tv itself or the antenna.

If it's an analog TV..noway is it going to work now, after the conversion..however, the conversion did not include LOW power stations..such as ones that are used for religious reasons., like TBN etc.
I don't know if there is a "converter", available or not. Good Luck and Happy Motoring...
