What's the average lifespan put on a 04 Volvo 2.9 liter twin turbo
My question is what the average lifespan on a 2004 Volvo s80
with the 2.9 liter twin turbo ....(when taken care of)
The car currently has 209,400 miles on it ....
I just replaced the timing belt and water pump ,and other pulleys ...
Drivers side hub and axle and just did a spark plug replacement ...
also have a brake pedal position sensor to put in....
Car seems to have a lot of power and runs smooth ....
Only codes I do get from time to time is a MAF sensor code ,
bank one Catalytic converter code .. also get a engine service required
on driver's info display
like said how long have these engines been known to last....
thank you

really depends on how well cared for your car was, whether it got a lot of cold weather (north kind of cold) starts etc. If it got regular oil changes, doesn't burn any oil and shows good compression, no reason to believe it can't go another 100K+ miles. MAF sensor codes can be due to weak connectors or a dirty MAF, catalytic converter codes need to be compared to other symptoms - can be as simple as a vacuum leak, an O2 sensor or the cat. When you say "engine service required" check your owners manual to see if that means you have a check engine code stored or if its really the maintenance interval light (you should be able to reset the maintenance interval light using the odometer trip reset button - google for the procedure)

S80 L6 2.9 twin turbo cat.bank 1 bank 2 codes..
I believe I will need a new catalytic converter , other than the DTC
codes ,several months ago my exhaust blew out some grey wig looking
fiber .... (coil #4 had went that day) I believe that the misfire caused this.
Does this diagnostic sound correct?
thank you
