Why do I have to reset my S80's computer every 6 months?

Why do I have to reset my S80's computer every 6 months?
I have a 99 S80. The only problem I ever have is about every 6 months I have to reset the car's computer because the steering wheel controls stop working, the cruise control stops, the bright lights don't work, wind shield wipers and electric windows stop working. At first I thought a fuse was blown but that wasn't the case. I've found if I disconnect the battery for about 1 hour then reconnect it everything is fine again until another 4 to 6 months go by. I'm afraid to take it to Volvo for fear of a $1,000 fix or worse. And my dealer sucks when it comes to good service. Does anyone know why this is happening, how much it might cost to repair and do you know of a faster easier way to reset the car's computer?
Thanks,
Don

I had the same problem with mine..(99 S80 2.9) and I searched google and found this. I always thought that it was a fuse problem and it turned out that it was.

This actually worked for me and I have not had any problems with it tus far.

You just made my month. I'll replace them both today. Disconnecting the battery for an hour or more is a pain in the butt. Especially if you're on a trip. Or it is raining (which doesn't happen often in Colorado). Thank you so much for the quick reply. Thank God for the internet.
