You might be able to log onto the local county tax collectors office site and look you ticket up online and pay it that way.

Speaking of strange tickets, I got a speeding ticket on campus 2 weeks ago in an area where the limit was 15mph.. anyway long story short, I remember signing for the ticket, then when I got home and looked in the envelope there is no ticket there, just the info about if I elect not to contest the ticket etc, not the yellow copy.. I assumed maybe I left it in the car, however I SCOURED the car and cant find a ticket anywhere.. is it possible he forgot to give me the ticket itself? What do I do now? i have less than 2 weeks to pay a ticket that I dont have....
I think il have to go into the police station and ask them about it.. imagine it, I walk in and say "hi, I think your officer messed up, can I have a new ticket please" haha
oh well...
Maybe call in and ask if there are any upaid tickets or tickets under your name? I don't know how all that works but I would think somewhere someone has record of the ticket / if it exists? You may have to bite the bullet and pay the ticket. Afterall it is better then having to pay to get out of jail if you don't and they put a warrant out for arrest. Okay since I basically hijacked my own thread I'm going to have to say that it totally sucks. The cops around here are cracking down. My fiance' got a ticket a few weeks ago (in the Volvo) for allegedly running a red light. She tells me it was "ORANGE" .. LMAO .. Anyway, the officer runs the tags and see's that the vehicle is registered to me. He comes back and asks her if she knows this. "Yes" she replies. He then asks here if I am 6ft 5in and black. WTF? "No, he's about 6ft and caucasion" she repield. (For the sake of your eyes I will cut the rest of the story short by saying that I am now officially a victim of credit theft). My credit has been destroyed by some idiot and I am not the only one. They told her she is the 7th person they have pulled over that their SS# showed a warrant out for their arrest for this dude. So now all of this and her b-day is Dec 2nd, her court date Dec 3rd, and mine Dec 4th. Sorry for the novel.

Question: I am buying a whole door with window already in it and everything tonight for $150.00. It is silver as well as my S80 (may be faded, etc, have not seen yet). The question I have is, will the remote on my keychain unlock the door or do the doors have a specific part in them that is programmed to the original car? I would assume that the programming is all within the main CPU but I am not sure?

Swap the door panel and use your window switch assembly(Passenger door module) and it should all work fine.

Okay so I got the door on no problems at all, window works great! Car won't start now. I should have disconnected the battery but I didn't and it sat about a month locked with the alram on (stupid me) so the battery went dead. All I have is a stupid little trickle charger (should have had on the whole time) and I got it chrged up enough to crank over a few times. It sounds like it is trying to start but won't? Tried charging via jumpers from my Mustang for about a half hour and still the same thing when I try to jump it. Any thoughts or ideas? TIA.

It cranks good the first couple times then it slows down. I still have the trickle charger on it. I figured I would give it until tomorrow then possibly buy a new battery? If I remember correctly, the last time I was in the trunk it was the original battery so that may be it?

Yes it could need a new battery.
They need good power to make it run.

Thanks, I am going to try it one last time tonight / tomorrow and if nothing happens I will call Autozone and see what they have. Any brand preferences or suggestions?

Just called Autozone and they want $149.99 for a battery (instock). Does that seem reasonable or can I find one less expensive elsewhere? I was hoping for $80-100.

Advance Auto is $94.99. I might go to Wally World and see what type of batteries they have tonight. Don't mean to sound cheap but with x-mas and all I can't afford too much. I'm going to call around a few more places and see what I can find and keep you posted. Is 600 CCA plenty?

Volvo Dealer wants $106.00. Walmart said they don't carry one. Looks like I'll probably get the one from Advanced Auto tonight because the dealer will be closed by the time I get off work.

If you can find one look for a Interstate MT-48 they should be between $70.00-$90.00.
If you so elsewhere look for a 48 series battery.

That sucks I hope you find one pretty cheap.
If you get a 48 series battery and it doesn't fit 100% let me know and I will explain how to make it fit.

Called the local Interstate place that we get a discount from. He told me he does not have the MT-48 but does have a MTP87 which is $225.00 Retail and with our discount would be $119.95. Great discount but still pretty expensive darn it!

Guy next door to our shop is trying to sell me a MT-47 (assume less CCA than the 48) for $110.00 ! First off it's not the MT-48, second that sounds kinda high.

The 47 will work fine but I don't like using them. Not in the S80 the 850 and S70's use them. Also $110.00 is a little high. At the shop I worked at we paid less than $70.00 from interstate. I think I paid $68.00 for mine.
