My 1999 s70 awd has an inop gas gauge. I cut I hole in the floor to access the passenger side fuel pump. I had open ohms on the fuel sender. I pulled out the pump and cleaned the contacts on the sender. I'm reading ohms now. Reinstalled and still no gas gauge.
I'm thinking the left and right senders are in series but I'm not sure. I really need a wire diagram to figure out where to go next.
Is my guage bad? Fuel pump relay? Open wire? I don't know what to fix if I don't know how it works. PLEASE HELP

 

Not that anyone seemed to care but I fixed my fuel gauge. The two wires from the fuel sender go down the passenger side floor up to the passenger side dash junction box. Across to the guage cluster into the 30 pin connecter in pin 4 &5. Continuite was good up to there so I jylust replaced the cluster and now it works. Every thing on this forum said fuel indication errors were 99% in the tank problems. I wasted alot of time and energy going off of this advice. I should have followed my instinct from the get go and gone straight to the cluster.
