brake rotors
my (2) 2001 T5s
vin yv1sw53k91207651 and yv1sw53k912041357
both have 12" rotors
If yours in in between almost guarantee it will have 12" rotors
that said, I'd measure them it takes 5 mins to jack up the car and rip a wheel off.
Its a pain with these cars, thats why you cannot buy anything from a dealer without a VIN..
Cheers Karl

pad and rotor change
did mine today, rotors were $89 AUD each and pads were $36.
pads are better than OEM and I notcied min thickness on rotors is 25mm not 28 per the factory discs so should get three set of pads to these as opposed to two from the factory ones.
Easiest pad and rotor change going, just need a 15mm socket, 1/2" drive ratchet and a 7mm allen key (available at almost any hardware store)

thats coming in handy
i went to tirerack.com and found the rotors pretty cheap and they are brembos, and akebono pads
should i go with that or should i go for some flash by getting cross-drilled and slotted rotors from Royalty Rotors and forgoing their pads (too cheap, im scared to buy them) and just getting akebono pads from TireRack.com?

yeah, i know. but i just came across some cha-ching and i don't mind spending that. besides, i need to know i will be able to stop with all the mods i plan on doing. not that i wouldn't be able to stop if i got something a little bit cheaper. i also want to make sure my brakes look good. to each their own, i guess?
you'll find the right set-up. just don't settle for something that you might regret later.
