thickness disk brake

I don't have the specs but the pad meat is usually 3 times the thickness of the metal part. When the pad thickness is 1/2 the thickness of the metal part, it's time to change them. Come to think of it, most pads have a slot cut in the pad area, dividing the pad in 1/2, that slot is a wear indicator. When the pad has worn down to the end of the slot, it's time to replace the pads.
