V70 T5'98 - CheckEngine: how to read codes "manually" ?
Hello VVO Fans!
I have V70 T5'98.
"Check engine" lights up since yesterday.
Is there a manual procedure to find out what are the failure codes?
I need to check it manually because no dedicated diagnostic hardware (Bosh)can read data from my car's unit (no connection)- I have triedin the past at 2 different auto service stations.
Thanks in advance!

Check your local auto parts stores, one of them should have the scanner.

RE: V70 T5'98 - CheckEngine: how to read codes "manually" ?
Many thanks guys!
The problem is that none can scan my OBDII.
For example, whenBOSH KTS was used, the MOTRONICunithas beenrecognizedbut the connection was being dropped all the time when the technician was trying to read the error codes.
I am from Poland - tried at 2 different "autozones" here with BOSH equipment. Same problem at authorized Volvo service.
I remember, in my former Opel Omega, I could use short wire to make a bridge over socket's pins and it started the procedure of counting the warning lights (if remember well) and then to decode the error number. Thought same is possible with my VVO.
Thanks!
