Default 2015 XC60 Cruise Control 5mph increment

I have a 2015 XC60 Premier Plus with the T5-E engine.
The manual says that a brief touch of + or - after turning on the Cruise Control will increase the set speed by 5 mph.
I've tried this with the original cruise control speed set at speeds between 35 and 70 mph. But any attempt to adjust it by briefly pressing + or - yields a 1 mph change.
My salesman said it would increase it to the nearest 5 mph speed, which is how Mercedes has worked for years. (I had a 2003 CLK-430). I LOVE this feature!

However, I can't get mine to work like this. And what is weird, is that the picture of the dash in the Owner's Manual on page 155 shows the older Dash and not the new digital display.

Anyone else have a 2015 XC60 or similar 2015 that should have this feature but can not get it to work?
I've gone through all the settings and even tried it on all 3 "Themes" on the dash. Everything just does 1 mph increments.

I dropped the car at the dealer today to get the windows tinted and they are checking on it for me. I will post anything they find here.

Default 2015 XC60 Cruise Control

I just bought 2 weeks ago a 2015 XC60 with adaptive cruise control (Caspian blue with AWD, 3.2L, premium plus, technology, BLIS, and climate packages). If you have adaptive cruise control, Page 160 of the owner's manual discusses increasing the speed by 3 mph and 1 mph increments. I think the issue is how long you press the "+" button. A quick press increases the speed by 3 mph. If you continue to press the "+" button, the speed is supposed to increase in 1 mph increments. I tried this on my XC60 and it worked. I think this is the same procedure with regular cruise control.

I traded my Lexus RX400h for the XC60 and glad I did. It is great not driving the Lexus (a couch on wheels) and it is not that much of a decrease in fuel economy.

Default Got an answer from the dealership

I went by to pick up my XC60 after having it tinted and their answer was that there has been a software update applied to most/all new vehicles that removes the 5 mph setting option and makes it 1 mph only.
apparently LOTS of owners were complaining that they didn't have enough control over the cruise adjustments.

So much for being excited about that feature!

I'm not sure what the ACC options are and it doesn't matter since I don't have that feature

Sure wish I would have got mine before they updated it because they will offer you the option to not apply that update if you want to keep the 5 mph feature.

I know I'm a few weeks late, but here goes...

I purchased my 2015 XC60 in the first week of May, and it hasn't been back to the dealer since. Quick taps on the incr/decr button do increase/decrease the cruise control setting in 5mph increments (unless the initial setting is somewhere in the middle, in which case it goes to the nearest 5mph value, then it's 5mph at a time after that).

Also if you press and hold the incr/decr for a couple of seconds, it will start to adjust in 1mph increments at the rate of about 1mph per second as long as you keep the button held down.

You got yours before they did the updated software then. Be careful when you take it in to the dealer if you want it to stay this way. Make sure they don't apply that update.

Yeah, believe my '15 T6 is 1 mph increments.

UPDATE: I just tried it out, and my previous statement was wrong! At the highway speeds today, tapping up or down definitely changes the cruise control by 5 MPH for each tap.

My 2014 XC60 T6 did the 5 MPH thing until I had the Polestar option installed yesterday. It now does the 1 MPH thingy! The 5 was great for Highway driving, because who doesn't drive at least 5 above. You just had to tap once to drop it when you saw the man. Now I have to tap it 5 times or hit the off button.

My 2015.5 with ACC increments in 5 steps unless I press and hold the button.

I just joined the forum to find out what happened to my cruise control after my recent routine maintenance. I have a 2014 XC70 T6. I LOVED the 5mph feature. i have an hour drive to work, and most of it's highway. It was a feature I used often and I am PISSED it was "updated" away without informing me.

Does anyone know if the dealer can remove an update?

It's the free software that we do with a maintenance. Don't think there is a way to remove the software. Just press the button 4 more times I don't see what the big deal is. Sorry, not trying to be an ******* or anything.

My 2015.5 XC 60 has the 1 mph increase.

I recently did a little road trip and the dash board showed 32.6 MPG, slightly more than my Ram HEMI pick-up.
