Reset "Time for Regular Service" message???

Does anyone have the instructions for resetting the "Time for Regular Service" message on a 2004 XC70?

Have you tried resetting with an OBDII reader unit?
Failing this....I'm at a loss, shy of a trip to the dealer....

turn the key to the 1 position
press & hold trip reset button
within 2 seconds turn key to 2 position
when the yollow light goes off release button within 4 seconds

i tried this and it still doesn't work. it disappears and say 045 but when you start it it comes back on.
