Default Weird issues with 2009 XC70 push to start

Hi,

This has been driving me nuts. All of a sudden I've begin noticing this weird issue with my push to start, and I think may be caused by a battery on the fritz. When I put my key cartridge into the ignition for the first time of the day, and go to hit the "Start" - nothing happens. No attempt to roll over, no sounds or dash lights turning on. Absolutely nothing.

Now, the next thing I do is depress the cartridge, so it ejects to the position to remove it - then simply push it in again. Then the car starts no problem at all. All day long it will drive fine, and start without having to do the weird partial eject.

I just replaced the battery of the key fob, and the issue still persists. So I am thinking it's probably my battery on the fritz?

Any thoughts? I have looked around a lot and can't really find any info regarding how to solve it.

Seems to be a problem with recognition of your key fob. Maybe it needs to be reprogrammed. Could be a contact problem with the receptacle. Bet the repair is exspensive.
