Unfortunately, all the dealers within 50 miles of me are playing the same game. Giving me the $2500 below MSRP is their cost. COSTCO auto website clearly shows the invoice is between $3000-5500 depends on your model trim and build. One dealer has list price $4100 below MSRP before negotiation. Unfortunately, it is 1000 miles away.

Hi djd562

Are you ok with sharing the dealer info? The dealer will be happy that you bring them more business, right?

Hello everyone. New to the Volvo Forum and a new Volvo owner. Just purchased an XC90 T6 Momentum AWD (Onyx Black/Amber) with Convenience, Vision, Momentum Plus and Protection packages and complimentary 3-year maintenance, all for $3800 under MSRP. Here's how I did it:
Went in to the nearest dealership and took a test drive, then dickered for another hour over the price. I didn't have any intention to buy, but wanted to see where the price points were since this was my first time purchasing a Volvo.
I wrote down the numbers and went home and logged onto Edmunds.com to request quotes for a T6 with black/amber and Conv and Vision packages (must haves for my wife). Within 2 hours, I got 3 quotes and basically told the Internet salesman that I want to save both of us time, so if he could beat my offer from the first dealership, then call me back and I'll consider coming in to purchase. I also asked each sales rep to give me the numbers by line-item. In other words, I want to be able to calculate the math to produce the desired monthly payment instead of stating a desired payment upfront (never told them that). I also told them that I wanted to push down the monthly payment by pushing down MSRP and interest rate (or money factor if you're leasing). Two of them were willing to give me everything line item and one beat all others by at least 1K on MSRP.
The next afternoon, we went in and bought and since we had agreed on the numbers, the paperwork was already half-done. I don't know if it's OK to advertise, but I'd love to give the dealership name, sales rep and sales manager.

Hi guys

Got the XC90 Momentum last Saturday. Got a good deal. Thank you for all your help. I want to share my info in return to help others.
I got almost 10% off a brand new XC90 with MSRP of $53775. On top of it, I got the $1000 off from the Loyalty incentive since I got a XC60. So total almost 12% off ($6275). I think that's a very good deal. I contact about 12 dealers. Only 2 dealers offered this kind of discount. Most dealer do 6% off. I have one crazy dealer offered 5% off on a DEMO, saying that's an amazing deal. I think 8% discount should be a fair number now on XC90.

Current Quote I've got is

$52,340 to order a '17 T-6 R-Design with Tow Hitch and Polestar Perf Pack.

Can't decide if I want to pull the trigger though...I'm afraid of a second Lemon Buy Back...

Patrick Volvo in Schaumburg IL is where I got mine. Ashvin was my sales. He is a good guy. But he told me that they don't normally give that much discount. I think that only applies if you are working on a 2016 model and during the end of the month. Good luck.

Would it be offensive to lowball an offer of 20-25% off MSRP on a 2016 model and work up from there?
