Default DSTC

What's DSTC button for? something about traction control. more details please. Should that button stay on during dry seasons or not rainy day. I know in mine it is on so I was wondering if I should disable it.
thanks!

It is your option to turn it off, I do in dry conditions in attempts to gain gas milage. I have not noticed any difference. To turn it off the button has to be pressed for 3 or 5 seconds. This keeps it from being turned off inadvetantly if the button is hit on accident. It will always come on at start and have to be turned off again if desired, Volvo's way of keeping us safe......................

Leave it on; turning it off won't help fuel milage. Turning the DSTC off also effectsyourRSC. Leave it on.

Great another acronym. Please help, "RSC"? What is it and what does it do for me? If the DSTC is so important why does Volvo give us the option to disable it so easy?

DSTC can be turned off but not fully.. it will turn the low speed wheel spin function off. RSC (roll stability control) is constantly on even with DSTC button in off position. But if u have ABS, DSTC fault in system (traction light comes on and stay on) all traction control function will be disabled. And yes turning off DSTC does not gain or loose any fuel economy.
