Default Replacing Engine Air Filter - 2.5t

I have an '06 2.5t and am trying to open the airbox to replace the engine air filter. I'm able to unlatch the 3 clips that are on the lower side of the airbox cover, but I can't seem to figure out how to unhinge the top side of the cover to remove it. Am I missing something? Has anyone done this successfully?

Okay, I managed to remove the 3 clips on the front side of the airbox and also managed to slide out back side of the airbox, but only the left and right plastic parts. The middle one is clamped down and will not budge...I don't want to break it...does anyone know an easy way to get this out?
