Hey all. New here, and I'm having a crazy problem. I local mechanic recently broke the end of my signal stalk so I had ordered an OEM replacement from fcp. Well, it just got here today and replacing it was simple enough, but now the problem is strange. When I push up on the turn signal to go right, nothing happens. When I push down to signal left, the right starts blinking. Exterior lights correlate. Everything else on the stalk works as it should.

The question is this. Why is it doing this? Faulty part? Improper installation?

 

Sounds like the plug was assembled incorrectly to me. Maybe you can compare wire colors with your old plug.

 

That would make sense, but these plugs aren't really traditional. You simply unscrew the 2 small Philip's heads and slide the switch out. Then slide the new one in. Really idiot proof for the most part. Could it be that the steering wheel wasn't perfectly straight, and that caused the issue?
