Default What the horizontal rod called that is parallel to the car tire?

My back driver side back tire is moving side to side. It looks like the rod has snapped apart. There are rods that are perpendicular to the car tire but those seems to be fine. The rod that has snapped it the one parralle to the wheel. It looks like it keeps the tire from moving inside the hole.
