I'm searching for this Low Side pressure line. I believe it must come from a 92-93 Volvo 940 near exclusively, as I've already purchased one from a 95 940 and another from a 740 that were different. It runs between the condenser and receiver/dryer and is the front part of the line.
Does that run from the condensor (in front of the radiator #42) to the evaporator #1? That looks like the smaller of the two pipes which is the high side pipe. The low side (#16 "suction line") runs from the accumulator to the compressor (and is larger) with a flexible hose as part of it. You might try Voluparts.com in Atlanta - 404-352-3402.
1992 was r-12 and 1993 was r-134 - On a 240 the threads were different between a 92 and a 93 - (and not compatible) I don't remember if the same was true for a r-12 and r134 940, but probably.
Here's a parts page for a 1992 and a 1993. Different part numbers. What year is your car? And what engine to look up the correct part. Part #6841201 ( one of the #31 choices - is listed as fitting a 1995 940 on a 1995 parts page)
Thank you for your reply. The car is a 1993 Volvo 940 NA. The part #6841201 is incorrect for this car, as I already purchased one of those used and it had the wrong fitting on the condenser end. When the dealer tried to order by VIN, they came up with 3522266, which is also incorrect and was $85 from Sweden and non-returnable. 3537411 looks like it *could* be the correct one. Would really like to verify before ordering another $85 part.......

How about the 3537409 listed in the 1993 parts page? - that is listed as fitting 940s from 1993 - 1996, and some 1993 + 960s. The 6841201 fits 940s and 960s from 1994-1998. (obviously not US market 940s after 1995)
That could be correct too. I'm a little worried because I got 6841201 off of a 95 940, and it was different, and you mention that part number covers 93-96 940s. At $47, I'd rather gamble on that part than the $85 line from the 92. Guess I'll be waiting another 6 weeks before it comes from Sweden, at which point I won't need A/C.
6841201 is listed as fitting 1994+ 940s (except for a diesel) and a bunch of 960s. The 3537409 may only be 1/2 the total pipe - from the condensor to the expansion tube, 3537410 (31a) in the diagram is the other half - from the tube to the evaporator.
