Low-mileage 2002 V70XC with blemishes and transmission issue
For Sale2002 Volvo V70
Description:
Purchased in 2020, hood replacement predates me. 2.4 liter 5-cylinder turbo-charged engine. Changed fuel, oil, and air filters. New battery, struts, and brake pads.
Transmission iffy: I rode around the city and local highways, only took it on a few long trips early on and stopped when the trans started acting up more noticeably. As of a couple months ago, will not reverse. Until that time, the major issue with the transmission occurred once the car came to a stop after high-speed (highway) driving: it would be very slow to accelerate. Turning the ignition off and on resolved this issue every time.
The other issue is the instrument cluster going off and on sporadically, with no discernable trigger or pattern either way. Finally, another probable programming issue causes an airbag sensor warning message to display, with both my trusted mechanic and the Volvo dealership unable to clear it—the airbags were changed at the dealership a couple years ago due to a recall.
The driver's seat is torn open in one spot, and the sunroof fabric has come apart at one corner and hangs loose, so needs to be re-affixed.
