I only joined awhile ago. I bought my '98 V70 AWD last November, hit a deer on New Year's Eve, got it fixed, did the water pump, belts, struts, brakes, tires...just in time to be t-boned Apr. 26 by a stop sign-running Saturn Aura. We all know how solidly-built our Swedes are. I was spun about 110º on the impact amidships, and after all the kerfuffle, she drove home just fine. The Saturn did not fare as well, and departed on a tilt-bed. Yesterday, they towed mine away for evaluation by insurance folks. I tell you all that to say this: am I looking for another V70 (xc probably) to replace it if necessary? Betcherarse.
