Hey Guys!

New to the forum here but long time lurker.

I have a 1999 Volvo V70 GLT with a little over 140k.

Recently I was trying to reverse but was in a hurry and started gassing before the gear was fully engaged. Subsequently I got a clunk and now the car wont fully engage while reversing. It will go about as fast as it would normally with your foot off of brake. When you gas the engine just revs.

The transmission shifts strong otherwise which leads me to believe that it might not need to be replaced (Hopefully). I checked the fluid and it is a little brown so was going to try and get a flush today at Firestone.

There are no error codes popping up when hooked up and no check engine light.

Does anybody else have any experience with this sort of problem. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
