Hi guys
I've just joined and would love some advice re my recently acquired lovely 1999 V70 2.5 Station wagon.

She starts on the button but almost immediately goes into rough running prob on 4 cylinders maybe even 3! Sometimes she will go back to smooth running again for a short while before reverting to rough again.
She always starts so I'm thinking it could be a fuel problem? What do you guys think? How many fuel filters are there and where are they? I've also seen MAF and IAC mentioned elsewhere, would these cause the symptoms?
One of the earth straps from the battery has come adrift- could that be the cause? The car is lovely otherwise Please help!

 

Try unplugging the wire harness for the MAF And start the car up. If the car runs better. MAF needs looking at.Mine went bad. I did this to make the car drivable.

Could be a lot of things. Have the codes read and post back with the P codes. Yes a bad battery cable could cause a lot of problems.
