99 V70 - 2 dead cylinders
I accidentally bought a 99 V70 with the 2.4 and 197,000 miles (my partner bid on the wrong car). Now I have a Headache. Number 2 and 3 cylinders are not firing - I changed around coil packs and plugs to see if that was the problem, and it isnt. Both have spark (pulled the plug and coil and started car - lots of spark). I pulled the Volvo advanced codes with my scanner and I have a pile!
3503, 3523, 3533, 3502,3522, 3532. The car is actually in nice shape except for the poor running engine, and I hate to junk it before exactly the problem - any advice on where to look next would be appreciated. I have a feeling it is a fuel injector problem, but why would two go bad at the same time? Could be an ECM problem? |
For some reason, the replies to this thread have been deleted. I recommended a compression test and you did so. However, none of that is here now.
