Hello and thank you for letting me be part of the Forum. I am looking for some advice. We bought a 2000 V70XC with the ETS light on and P0121 code and it had the rough idle issues. I took the ETM out and did the Saucer mod and had good readings when i was done ( VSS4.98V, 1.36V default, .60v Closed, 4.63V Full Open). At start up the ETS light stayed on and it idled well but the car stayed in limp mode. After running for a while and restarting, the car idles bad again and P0121 code has returned. How should i go about testing the ETM ( open back up and recheck solder joints and voltage) or would i be able to pull the ETM from my running 2001 V70XC and install in the 2000 to see if that could single out the ETM. Dont they have the same ETM? Would it do anything to the ETM from my 2001 because i need that car for work? Thanks

 

You might be able to get away with a throttle from a '99, but best to get one from an identical car to yours or it will likely need dealer coding. As far as I know, the 2001 will not work; only '99-2000.

i installee and ran the ETM from my 2001 into the 2000 and it ran great. I should het the Xemodex rebuilt returned this week. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
