can I deactivate alarm 2005 V70
 

it goes off at random.. I live in a safe rural area so don't need the security and don't want to spend money on an expensive part. can it be deactivated without any flashing of warning lights or other annoyances. i suspect cutting the siren itself off will stop the noise but not the warnings.

You can, but you need a software download from a dealer.
