2008 blower motor not working
The fan (AC and heat) stopped working in my v70. Doesn't work on any speed (so it's not the resistor). Is there any chance it is the relay/circuit breaker? How do I know if it's bad...it looks fine.
Also, has anyone (non-mechanic) actually done a blower motor repair? There seem to be some good instructions online, but not sure I want to attempt it myself. Shop wants hrs labor
Thanks much

Here is the full guide if you choose to go ahead with the diy route. I've done the job. It's not too bad but you need to be patient as you are going to be pulling a lot of plastic pieces out some of which can break easily. You also need the special tool for fan removal.
If if you want to test the fan before going ahead wit this job, just pull the instrument cluster out and try to connect two electrical leads to the fan itself. You won't have much room to work with so hopefully some alligator clips will do the job. If the fan works when pierre up directly you will know to look elsewhere. As you will see in the guide taking the cluster out is pretty easy stuff.
