Strange VolvoV70 behavior

Hello. I would like to ask some questions about my Volvo V70 AWD 2.4 diesel 2004 Automatic
1. My cigarette lighter and v12 port in the back for the passengers stoped working. I checked the fuse and it was allright, what could be the problem?

2. When changing from D to R I can hear noises like the clutch wasnt fully depressed before engaging into the gear (sound is quick and not so loud, but grindy and annoying). Given that I ride automatic worries me. I checked the transsmision fluid and its brown (no metal shavings to be seen). Maybe I have low transsmision fluid level, I checked the level when the car was warm (after driving for 20 minutes) but Im not sure if it reached proper temperature to have right measurment, at that given time it was in beetwen hot lines (which means its ok). Maybe someone knows what could be the reason for that sound? Should I be worried?

Thanks for answers.

1) broken wire feeding them both? Was the ignition switch in the right position when checked? Just wondering.

2) Hard to diagnose noises. Grinding noise? Thank Heavens it's brief.
Do change out the fluid as it's dirty and it's the first thing to do in the event of any problem.

How did you examine the fluid? Metal shavings won't stick to a dipstick.

Try checking your engine and transmission mounts. At 14 MY of age any are old enough to have their rubber element degrade.

DOn't be worried. Just be proactive!

1. I had my key in the pocket I just took out the fuse and looked at it. I hope this is how its done. No matter if the ignition is on or not the cig lighter does not work.

2. I examined the fluid by wiping it on a sheet of paper.

Should I flush my transsmision or just change the fluid?
