I have taken off the shifter cover (the knob won’t come out for some reason) and there doesn’t seem to be any liquid inside. All fuses are intact as well. I could use some help, to say the least. the soda could have left some residues that are shorting out the wiring so a solid cleaning is due or you may have some corrosion (Coke is acidic - it can be used to take paint off things like golf club heads!). I had a friend who's battery kept dying and it turned out there was an orange peel in the lighter socket! The shifter knob should pull straight up and off.

take a look at some vids for replacing the PNP switch. that's probably what's shorting.
