Default Yikes!!! No shift selector override button on 2004 V70???

I have looked all over and have concluded the V70 II has no gear selector override.
Is this a trick? Is it hidden?
It just got stuck in park at the park. I'm afraid to admit to you aficionados how I got it in gear.
But I did, and it drove fine, making several stops afterwards without sticking in park.
What do you do when some dumb thing decides to lock up the gears? Do you really have to gut the shifter or disconnect the transmission as I read in quite a few posts (here and elsewhere)?
My 850 had one conveniently by the shifter at the ready. I see other V70s have a shifter override button of some sort.
Is there any way to retro fit a gear selector that has an override button for this 2004 V70?
Or jerry-rig a tool opening to poke at the gadget hidden underneath without dismantling the interior trim and gear box? Even my old 2000 Saab had a stupid poky hole as a gear override which was better than removing trim and such.
Any ideas, advice, wisdom or plain laughter is welcome!
