Automatic Gear Shift Knob Replacement
 

Hello all, now to the forum. I have a 2013 XC70 T6 that we bought in Germany before being reassigned stateside. US specs. I had an early 90s series 960 at one time and the wife really liked it so we wound up getting another Volvo.

Anyway. The button for the auto gear shift knob is broken; I can order one on line for less than the dealership wants but I am unfamiliar with how to remove the shift knob so I can replace it.

I've seen where they put the shifter into the neutral position then just yank it upwards forcefully on older models but am not sure if this is the case for the 2013 models. Any assistance would be grateful.
