Locking/Unlocking Issues
 

2008 XC70. I initially thought the batteries were going bad as I was having intermittent problems unlocking the car so I replaced both batteries in the two fobs. Before I even replaced them the fob stopped working so I used the blade, got in setting off the alarm. I have since discovered if I turn the key blade either way the fob will then work. I do notice a solenoid type click sound when I turn the key even if I'm locking a locked car. I can take the car to run errands and it will work normal all day long. But...once the car sits for several hours the fobs will not work again unless I put the key blade in and turn. The dealer is over an hour away so I called the service department and they never heard of such a thing.
