Question Need help determining maximum weights re towing travel trailer

Hello,
I was happy to find this forum and I am a new member. We bought our 2010 XC70 in 2014. Our dealer told us it could pull small travel trailers. We are now trying to determine exactly where the maximum numbers are and are in a fog of GVWR, dry weight, tongue weight, etc. Have not gotten helpful answers from two Volvo dealerships and a Lance trailer dealer. In the car manual, the "maximum trailer weight" is listed as 3,300 lbs with brakes and a 2" ball. The "maximum tongue weight" is 165 lbs. The single axle Lance 1425 travel trailer has a dry weight of 2,600 lbs. Will this combination work and, if it's close, what can we do to make it work?
My parents pulled trailers during my childhood so I have a clue, although old data. We are minimalists and understand how cargo weight and full tanks affect towing. Weight distribution and all that. We are big people and with some added cargo in the car, the car will need to hold about 600-700 lbs. Car GVW is 5,270 lbs. Capacity weight is 900 lbs. Permissible axle weights in the rear are 2,640 lbs. The max tongue weight seems to be the most problem. The people I called thought that number was very low to the point of being incorrect. All help/advice greatly appreciated.
