purchasing a used xc90

Hello group,

I figured this would be the best place to get some good true feedback on these vehicles. I am currently interested in purchasing a 03-07 xc90 as they are reasonably priced and have all the features and comfort that I am looking for. The only thing is I do not know much about the reliability of them I have come across a few issues on the internet regarding transmission and valve body issues. How are the engines and rest of the drivetrain? Anything specif that I need to look for? Are any model years better or worse than others? Are these fairly easy vehicles to work on? Are replacement parts reasonable? I was originally looking for a full size suv like a tahoe but the xc90 looks to have sufficient room and better fuel economy. I am looking for a vehicle that can hold my 2 boys and throw some camping gear and such in the back and head out on long trips with.

Thanks for any help and advice!

I would recommend a 5cyl FWD model - less issues than the other combinations.
