Seat position memory buttons move mirror only?
 

I've had my 2003 XC70 for a couple of years and the seat controls and memory buttons have worked fine the whole time. I'm not sure if the position memory buttons include mirror position or not, but I know that with the first two numbers used for my wife and I we never moved the mirrors.


A few days ago the 1 & 2 buttons suddenly stopped working - the seat doesn't move at all. The manual controls will move the seat, just not the memory buttons. When trying to figure it out I discovered that the 1 and 2 buttons do more the mirror? Also, it doesn't appear to be in a preadjusted position, almost more like it's functioning like the standard controls used to move the mirror. The 1 button moves the mirror down as far as it will go until it just stops/grinds as if you were trying to lower it to it's max position. Does that make sense?


Anyway, I've searched around and didn't find this specific incident, but did find one guy who had some seat/mirror issues that were cleared up by disconnecting the battery. I'm planning to go try that this morning after the sun comes up.
