Vovlvo OEM Roof Rack Cross Bars

I recently purchased a set of OEM cross bars for my 2004 XC70 from Craigslist. Turns out the bar labeled "front" appears to be about and inch too big and won't fit? The Volvo literature that came with them is dated 1997. Do the earlier V70XC's have a slightly wider rail system? Are these for a different car? There is a model number hand written on the instructions as 9483630 and when I search that it says they would fit my 2004? Any input would be appreciated. The picture below is what they look like (not my picture). For sale: Nearly new Volvo OEM cross bars with installation tool. $100 OBO!

Not much from a 2000 and earlier XC fits the 2001-07 XC70 because the bodies are different.
Carry a tape measure and check a earlier model in parking or used car lot.
I use Yakima Lowriders (newer version is Railgrab I think) and 58" bars because I haul a lot of kayaks, SUP's, Ski box etc.
I just measured between my 2004 XC70 rails. Did not have an assistant and was measuring under ski box & kayaks so I may be off a little. I got 104 cm (39.5 in) at extreme front & back and 112 cm (39 13/16") near the middle.
Rack weight limit is 220#. Limit is more of a handling and rollover prevention limit than actual roof damage limit. Because the rack boure weight is so far above the roll center it will get squirrelly. Watch your tire pressures carefully when loaded. I run 36 front 40.5 rear if I am carrying multiple boats plus camping gear.
