Importing an S90 - Canada to the U.S. Does anyone have experience?

I'm interested in importing a Canadia bought 1998 S90 into the U.S. I've already gotten a vague letter from Volvo, stating that I need to get the spedometer/odometer converted into mph/miles, and that some adjustments need to be made to an external light(s).

I was wondering, does anyone have any experience importing Volvos from Canada into the States? If so, can you give me any advice as to how I should go about doing this? I talked to a Volvo dealer mechanic specialist in Canada, and he wasn't able to determine what was needed based on the letter Volvo sent. Further Volvo reps have yet to be contacted due to the holiday season and business hours.

Thanks for any help, as it is greatly appreciated.
