Hi guys,
I'm brand new in the forum and I'm needing some assistant here.... I'm starting to play around with my 1995 volvo 440, doing a couple mods, and right now I'm trying to check if there IS or NOT a MAP SENSOR on my car.
According to my mechanic, it seems that this car does NOT have it, being one of the first fuel injection models (monopoint - single point injection), but I want to be completely sure before I decide to take a different route for my mods.
Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Nick

Hi Billofdurham!
Thanks a lot for your help.
After you pointed me on that direction I finally got hold of a 440 manual to try and find the MAP sensor.
The problem I have is that it is in Spanish and the translation does not seem to relate to "Manifold Absolute Pressure" sensor.
I did found a sensor that in Spanish means something similar: Air Pressure Sensor....
Could that be the MAP Sensor? Or maybe it is the MAF sensor? It is located very close to the windshield, a bit further back and left from the Intake Manifold, if looking from the front of the car.
If you (or someone else) can tell me if that's the MAP (or not) I will appreciately enormously.
Best,
Nick
