I would like to see a heading for Volvo Construction and heavy equipment like excavators and dump trucks and handlers, etc...

Especially anything involving the repair and troubleshooting of the various Volvo construction equipment!

Does anyone out there do work on that stuff?

Working on a Volvo ec210b excavator and the service manual is very expensive. Save few bucks getting it from ebay.

Service repair workshop manual for Volvo excavator. Volvo has these in PDF format for download and they are a better price than the printed manuals.

 

I have a Volvo ec330blc. Last summer It shut off and wouldn't start (just turned over). Let sit a couple of days and it started right up. Then it happened again and wouldn't start at all. I contacted a diesel mechanic and thought it might be an oil sensor due to low oil. Filled oil and still no start. No smoke coming from the exhaust as if NO fuel. I feel it's an electrical issue. Checked all fuses and visual wiring. Contacted Ascendum they came out and diagnosed a fuel pump. Replaced fuel pump, and filters, and cleaned fuel lines. Still no start. Now they say it's an injector wiring harness. I don't have confidence in the diagnosis. I don't want to keep guessing what the issue is. I need help.
