240 GL chime is ALWAYS ON... help finding relay?

Hey all...

can anyone tell me how to shut up the chime on my 240? The issue is not the door switch (already checked with voltmeter). This all started once I removed the factory head unit and amplifier. Since then, any time the key is in the ignition the daggone thing is chiming away. I located the general area of the chime (around the ignition) and have the car all torn apart but I just can't figure this one out. Have any of you an idea how to fix this / the location of the chime relay / a way to rewire the amplifiers harness to "trick" it into duplicating the amplifiers signature even though the amp is gone? Putting the amp back in is not an option, as I "office space'd" it in my driveway out of frustration when I took it out the first time.

Anyone with the wiring diagram/pinout to the audio system is MORE than welcome to email me at temckee@yahoo.com if you have anything that may be helpful in resolving this. Thanks so much everyone.

It might be something connected to the Lights circuit.
Sorry no Diagrams. The site I have doesn't have 240 Diagrams.

I left this one on the 240 forum page....

If you can find the lead for the chime that was supposed to be connected to the amp, try hooking it up to the red accessory wire on the back of your aftermaret sterio...all it needs is a 12 volt signal to shut it up. If that doesn't work, splice it into the cigarette lighter wireing or the ash tray light wireing. BY NO MEANS should you try to remove the unit causing the noise...it pisses off the ignition.
