Adding an Aux port to 2002 S60?
I tried to post this before but I think that I hit the wrong button.
I have a 2002 S60 with the factory radio (I think HU-613), CD and cassette. I want to add an AUX port. I see a few options. First is that I can get an iPod adapter and modify it by adding a 3.5mm jack to the end. The second is by getting a used Volvo radio at the junkyard for $20 but I don't know if I'd have to change out other parts if I did that. The third would be something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yatour-Digi...r/282004104610 Any thoughts? |
Grom has several Volvo specific adaptors that use the CD changer port. Google Grom or look on Amazon for their choices.

i think that you are holding your own answers, but you will not find any use newer volvo radios for $20 at any junkyards.

The U-pull-it place that I use has a flat pricing schedule. All radios are $20. |
if you get a used radio from a yard, make sure to either get the VIN of the donor car or the code.
