Default Aftermarket head unit wiring

I'm installing an aftermarket head unit in my 88 240 because the radio sucks with the stock head unit. Here's the wiring description for the Volvo wiring:

Orange/white stripe: +12v
Black/White: Ground
Red: Left/Rear speaker+
White: Left/Front speaker+
Yellow: Right/Rear speaker+
Blue: Right/Front speaker+
Black: Speakers-
Green/White: Clock

OK. On my after market head unit, there is one negative wire for each speaker. As opposed to just one speaker negative wire on the volvo harness. How do I connect those wires? Also, on the aftermarket, there is a +12v Memory wire, is that the clock? I'm assuming it is. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Matthew

Why not just stop by a local electronics shop and buy the adapter for like $15.00.

Then that will eliminate all the problems.

BTW:The memory wire is for the clock and to keep all your stations.

Thanks. I think I'll just go the adapter route.

Hey Matt, how were you able to get this to work? I'm having the same problem. I purchased this adaptor from Scosche, but the wiring doesn't line up at all. So I pulled the leads out of the plastic head so I could stick 'em where I *thought* they belonged, but still no luck.

Here's the Scosche factory adaptor:

And here's how the wiring in my factory harness looks:

I've tried every which way to put them together, with no luck. Any pointers?

Incidentally, what / where is this mysterious amp that may be causing me trouble?
