S40 Navigation Write-up?
 

I just bought a 2005 S40 T5 and am stationed in Germany (Air Force) for 2 years. Navigating Germany is like trying to teach a dog tricks, time consuming and very frustratring! I need navigation but I dont want to just get one and attach it to the windshield, I want to make it custiom.

I would like to do it and make it look professionally installed or factory, I have searched on here but to no avail. Can anyone help me with a write up or shoot me in the right direction?!

I didnt make this video, I found it online. If you look on the right hand side of the site when you go to watch the video, there are multiple videos of something similar or someone else doing it but no one says how they did it or anything! And thats what I'm trying to find! I want instructions on how to do it and what items people used because honestly that install looks like it came factory.

Hi, could not find a post that would answer my question.

I bought a 2008 V70. It has all the bells and whistles, but is missing navigation.
I have two choices:

1.buy navigation for the dashboard, new or used
2. buy a tomtom / garner or other gps system, and skip the real deal.

Does anyone have such experience? Is it worth buying original volvo navigation; what problems may I have? Must it be new, or can I buy on ebay etc.

I will be greatful for any feedback. Thanks!
