OBD2 BLUETOOTH Adapters
I would like to get an OBD2 BLUETOOTH Adapter for my 1995 850 Turbo. I'm running Torque Pro on my phone and will be using that for monitoring and for checking DTC's. I'm wondering if the ELM 327 will work or if I'll have to use something else. Any info will be very much appreciated.
Thanks and happy driving! |
Did you ever receive or gain any experience with this? I'm looking to possibly add one to the toolbox as well.

FYI, I bought the ELM327 BAFX reader for my 2004 wagons and it, so far, seems to work great! I can clear CEL codes and monitor a variety of parameters. Gonna be a minute before I figure out all the details. Not sure if this helps you on your 95. the pamphlet that accompanies the reader states all EU 01/01/2001 and newer gas vehicles and 1/1/1996 USA it will work.

I have read that a lot of 850 owners use the ELM327 and it works great.

Sweet! Now all I have to do is put a new motor and turbo in my car. Oil seal in the turbo went and I was on the highway. I was in the middle of nowhere and couldn't get anyone to pick the car up, so I had to drive 40 miles home. I found a grade A used motor and turbo for $1,375. Got to get that in before I worry about monitoring it. Lol

ShoeBoxOh, I have used ELM327's on other vehicles with the Torque app and have had great success. I used to keep one in my pocket when I worked at an auto parts store for when a customer asked me to check their check engine light. Worked great.
