Hello. Our 2016 XC60 just suffered catastrophic oil failure. Only 90K miles and been regularly serviced. Single owner. Somehow the oil ran completely dry but no engine warning lights or service lights or anything ever came up. Brought to mechanic and they are baffled. They put it up and said there are no leaks. They said we must have burnt it but we never saw black smoke.

anyone have any ideas? It’s not under warranty but will volvo maybe still help us? Seems crazy that oil and sensors both simultaneously fail….
