Browser Issues?

I routinely use Firefox as my browser - and it has (previously) worked for this forum. Now I find that when I try to get on with Firefox, I am simply returned, time and time again, to the log-in screen.

I can access the forum with IE but really don't like to use this buggy, insecure, non-standards conforming piece of trash.

What has happened?

IE7 works great, and there is nothing wrong with it as a browser. It is just as safe as any other browser, and has similar features as the others.

You should check for a newer version or try updating firefox.
vBulletin uses PHP and MySQL., so find a compatible Browser.

Ironically I get the same when I use IE, but can only log on when I am running OPERA as a browser!

I am wondering if Firefox is blocking cookies.

My Firefox is working fine....

I mean, maybe the original poster needs to double check his browser.
Tools>Options>Privacy. Half way down are cookies. Either that was unchecked or you have an anti-virus program that is too uptight. Cookies let sites know when visitors return and enable user names to be saved. Without them you are anonymous.

It's not a Firefox problem. It's his Firefox problem. Period.

Cookies are not the problem
My A/V prgram (Trend) does not cause problems with any other site
This happened after I upgraded to Firefox 3.06 and has persisted in 3.07 -perhps it is a version issue.
