Generally when I open the drivers door I can hear what sounds like the power brake vacuum pump charge the brake system. When I hear that sound I can insert the key fob and hit the start button and the car starts.
Sometimes I don't hear that sound. When that happens I insert the keyfob step on the brake and the display goes blank or the start button does nothing.
I take out the key fob and try the start sequence over and over. Eventually the car will start. I was told before to replace the brake light switch, which I did. The problem still exists.
The start sequence is, step on the brake, insert the keyfob, hit the start button. The warning lights light up and the car starts.
