1997 Volvo 960 - Need Help Finding Front Drivers Seat

Hi, I need help finding a front drivers seat for 1997 Volvo 960. I just need the electrical components as the current seat will not move backward of forward on the right side of the seat. Left side of seat works and does move backward of forward.
Thank you for your help.

Try Craigs List and eBay for starters. You can also search yards via car-part.com or a Volvo friendly shop like Erie Vo Vo

A common cause of that is a cable. Easily fixed. (no new parts needed)
The forward/back motor has cables on both ends. One cable goes to the left side gears, the other to the right side gears. For some reason, an inner cable disconnects from the mechanism. (how it ends up too short - I don't know) You simply need to make the offending outer cable shorter. Cut the outer cable at the metal end, (remove the inner cable first!) remove the 1/2 inch long part of black plastic part inside the cut off end and stake the metal end back onto the remaining outer black plastic cable - that makes the outer cable 1/2 inch shorter and the inner cable will then stay connected to both the motor and the gears.

Might sound crazy but my shops have fixed many "seat only moves on one side" problems using this method.

If you really want to buy parts - you could try voluparts.com
